PRACTICA L’ANGLÈS

Gandhi

“I am prepared to die, but there is no cause for which I am prepared to kill”

For many years, one of the largest countries in the world, India, was a colony of the British Empire. That meant that millions of Indians, who were people with different cultures and religions than the British, were governed from London and had no rights, and could not even take advantage of the natural resources in their homeland. Gandhi set out to convince his compatriots that they had to fight together –without using violence– to put an end to this unjust treatment.
